Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- a minimum of 5 years of horse experience
- ability to work rotating shifts and overtime
- physical capability to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks
- strong observational skills to identify horse health issues
- ability to follow detailed instructions
- dependable and consistent attendance
- good communication skills
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- at least 5 years of horse experience preferred
- knowledge of animal science or nutrition is desired but not required
- ability to work rotating shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and overtime
- strong attention to detail
- dependable and consistent work ethic
- ability to read and follow directions accurately
- good communication skills to interact with managers and team members
- physical ability to perform manual tasks including cleaning and lifting
Job Duties
- assisting feed crew in feeding all horses at the clinic and remote locations
- restocking hay nets
- cleaning feed containers, stalls and waters on a regular basis
- breaking ice if and when necessary
- cleaning feed storage areas
- picking up and taking out trash
- reading and following directions
- identifying when a horse is not feeling well or eating well
- work with managers to adjust feed charts as needed
