Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • a minimum of 5 years of horse experience
  • ability to work rotating shifts and overtime
  • physical capability to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks
  • strong observational skills to identify horse health issues
  • ability to follow detailed instructions
  • dependable and consistent attendance
  • good communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 5 years of horse experience preferred
  • knowledge of animal science or nutrition is desired but not required
  • ability to work rotating shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and overtime
  • strong attention to detail
  • dependable and consistent work ethic
  • ability to read and follow directions accurately
  • good communication skills to interact with managers and team members
  • physical ability to perform manual tasks including cleaning and lifting

Job Duties

  • assisting feed crew in feeding all horses at the clinic and remote locations
  • restocking hay nets
  • cleaning feed containers, stalls and waters on a regular basis
  • breaking ice if and when necessary
  • cleaning feed storage areas
  • picking up and taking out trash
  • reading and following directions
  • identifying when a horse is not feeling well or eating well
  • work with managers to adjust feed charts as needed
