Job Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a tribal gaming license
- valid driver’s license
- Washington State Food Handler Permit within 14 days of employment start
- MAST certification within 90 days or first class offered
- available and willing to work flexible hours
- ability to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds
- ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- must adhere to all company policies and comply with tribal and state regulations
- at-will employment agreement
- ability to work in a noisy casino environment
- willingness to participate in background checks and drug testing as required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- associate degree or equivalent hospitality industry experience
- five years of management experience in full-service restaurant or bar operations
- proven experience in managing, training, and team member retention
- knowledge of craft cocktails, specialty beer, and wine service
- understanding of budget building and maintaining profitability
- proficiency in Microsoft programs and other computer software
- skill in verbal and written communication
- ability to cross-communicate across departments
- problem-solving skills under pressure
- leadership and organizational abilities
- ability to analyze financial statements and reports
- skills in assessing operations and staffing
- experience using POS systems such as IG System and Visual 1
- ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
Job Duties
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and Northern Quest policies and procedures
- oversee activities in assigned food and beverage areas or outlets
- write and monitor weekly work schedules and post them timely
- assist in developing departmental objectives, policies, and procedures to grow the department
- monitor and enforce departmental policies and objectives
- monitor inventories and cost percentages of goods, supplies, and equipment
- participate with Director of Food and Beverage in creating menus and food selections
- promote food and beverage outlets with marketing department
- handle guest relations issues
- resolve team member and supervisor issues
- enforce sanitation and HACCP standards
- attend mandatory management meetings
- ensure compliance with tribal and federal laws
- enforce company asset protection policies
- analyze labor cost and operational expenses
- develop shift managers and team members
- assist in annual budget preparation
- hire, train, coach, and counsel team members
- schedule and conduct departmental training meetings
- administer disciplinary actions per policy
- conduct team member performance reviews
- adjust staffing levels per budget
- design staffing guides
- maintain attendance records
- serve as a panelist for internal review hearings
- maintain high standards of guest satisfaction and team member relations
- perform other assigned duties as instructed by management
