- completion of healthcare environmental services training from MacDonald Training Center preferred
Job Duties
- Disinfect high touch surfaces
- clean clinical inpatient and outpatient areas including patient rooms, exam rooms, and nurse stations
- clean support and common areas such as offices, labs, conference rooms, elevators, stairwells, corridors, and external grounds
- handle and dispose of medical waste and sharps according to safety protocols
- use proper chemicals, tools, and equipment for cleaning
- clean spills containing blood or infectious material following safety and infection control procedures
- occasionally travel to off-site locations for cleaning tasks
