Job Duties
- Performs all basic cleaning necessary to keep assigned areas in accordance with the Joint Commission on Accreditation Standards
- Sweeps, mops, strips, scrubs, refinishs, vacuums, and spot cleans floors
- Cleans and polishes surfaces including vertical and horizontal surfaces
- Collects and transports medical waste or clean/dirty linen
- Cleans windows, changes window treatments and cubicle curtains, washes walls
- Maintains all environmental services equipment including floor scrubbers and vacuum cleaners
- Cleans and disinfects patient rooms during hospital stay and after patient discharge
- Assists in pest control by reporting to the maintenance department
- Restocks all sanitation products in assigned areas
- Moves furniture or heavy objects to provide pathway for cleaning purposes
