Job Duties
- perform cleaning and sanitizing activities in designated areas including patient rooms, bathrooms, and common spaces throughout the health system facilities
- maintain flooring care including cleaning, buffing, and applying floor sealer and floor finish to hard surface floors
- vacuum, shampoo and extract carpets
- use and maintain power equipment and hand tools such as buffers, auto brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, and furniture
- provide waste collection and removal including biomedical waste, recycling, cleaning trash chutes and receptacles
- mix and obtain cleaning solutions from dispensing systems
- follow appropriate cleaning methods and use the correct solutions and equipment for different surfaces
- restock cleaning supplies and various other items such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap
- carry out bed tracking tasks as needed
- report any maintenance or repair needs to management
