Job Duties
- Performs complete cleaning of assigned areas including dusting and sanitizing furniture, equipment, mirrors, and fixtures
- washing windows, walls, ceilings, vents, and light fixtures
- sweeping, scrubbing and refinishing floors
- vacuuming and shampooing carpets
- re-stocking restrooms
- replacing light bulbs
- reporting repairs
- handles heavy contact with cleaning chemicals and disinfecting agents
- assists with outdoor cleaning including parking lot, windows and roof
- removes waste by collecting and transporting soiled linens, emptying trash containers, changing sharps containers, transporting solid and hazardous waste, recycling materials, and emptying cigarette receptacles
- keeps equipment clean and orderly
- reports equipment failures
- maintains a safe working environment complying with procedures, rules and regulations, infection control guidelines, and departmental quality standards
- attends all required education and training classes including safety updates
- meets time schedules and deadlines consistently
