Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • one year of cleaning or environmental services experience preferred
  • must obtain DOT HAZMAT certification within 90 days
  • ability to follow infection control standards and OSHA regulations
  • capacity to handle hazardous materials responsibly
  • must be able to communicate effectively in English
  • ability to work part-time
  • must wear uniform and scrubs
  • willingness to participate in ongoing training and development
  • ability to work in a team-oriented environment

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • one year of experience preferred
  • DOT HAZMAT certification within 90 days required
  • driver license preferred
  • ability to safely use housekeeping equipment and chemicals
  • proficiency in English speaking, reading and writing
  • effective communication skills consistent with customer service focus
  • ability to multitask and work independently
  • ability to collaborate and participate in team activities

Job Duties

  • perform general and moderately complex cleaning tasks in assigned areas
  • maintain environmental and infection control standards
  • follow AORN standards for procedure room cleaning
  • operate floor maintenance equipment and use chemicals safely
  • handle and dispose of hazardous materials properly
  • set up conference rooms and manage linen distribution and collection
  • communicate and document facility or patient-related issues
