Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- at least one year of experience in a cleaning or environmental services role preferred
- ability to use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely
- physical ability to perform repetitive tasks and work in potentially stressful, fast-paced, and contaminated environments
- must be able to work varying schedules
- ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- capability to maintain cooperative working relationships with team members

Job Duties
- Performs complete cleaning of assigned areas including dusting and sanitizing furniture, equipment, mirrors and fixtures
- washes windows, walls, ceilings, vents and light fixtures
- sweeps, scrubs and refinishes floors
- vacuums and shampoos carpet
- restocks restrooms
- replaces light bulbs
- reports repairs
- assists with outdoor cleaning including parking lot, windows and roof
- uses ladders as necessary
- handles cleaning chemicals, disinfecting agents, floor strippers and finishes
- collects and transports soiled linen
- empties trash containers
- changes sharps containers
- transports solid and hazardous waste to compactors
- recycles material
- empties cigarette receptacles in smoking areas
- keeps equipment clean and orderly
- reports equipment failures and mechanical issues
- maintains safe working environment and complies with procedures, infection control guidelines, and departmental quality standards
- attends required education and training including safety programs
- consistently meets time schedules and deadlines
