Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ability to pass physical ability test
- capacity to lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to work 40 hours per week including first shift
- experience in environmental services or janitorial work preferred
- ability to adhere to safety and infection control standards
- willingness to work with potentially contaminated waste
- good communication skills
- reliable attendance and punctuality

Job Duties
- performs routine tasks in assigned area following 7-step cleaning process and remakes beds after disinfecting during discharge cleaning
- follows maintenance schedule for floors and carpets
- cleans fixtures, furnishings, walls, woodwork, floors, stairwells, interior windows, elevators/tracks, and exteriors of equipment
- empties trash, wipes and relines containers, operates compactor if necessary
- replenishes all disposable items such as soap, toilet paper, paper towels
- moves and resets furnishings to original locations after job completion
- performs all methods of floor care including dust mopping, wet mopping, stripping, refinishing, spot cleaning, burnishing and extraction using specified equipment
