Job Requirements

- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ability to work Monday through Friday 10:30pm to 7:00am and every other weekend
- physical capability to perform active cleaning tasks including lifting up to 25 pounds
- willingness to work in a healthcare environment with patient contact and possible contagious illnesses
- adherence to PPE and infection control guidelines
- ability to handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to acquire knowledge, skills, and abilities comparable to job requirements
- adherence to infection control and safety protocols
- customer service skills with professional communication
- ability to operate cleaning equipment
- compliance with HIPAA confidentiality requirements
Job Duties
- work with medical staff, other ancillary professional staff, departmental service staff, patients, visitors, and the general public
- use a high degree of professionalism focused on customer satisfaction at all times
- maintain strict confidentiality and the utmost privacy of patient information as required by HIPAA guidelines
- perform cleaning activities within a healthcare environment following infection control guidelines
- operate cleaning equipment and maintain its safety and functionality
- handle soiled linen, regular waste, and medical waste following safety and PPE protocols
- maintain work area safety and readiness for regulatory inspection
