Job Requirements

  • none
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • ability to work Monday through Friday 10:30pm to 7:00am and every other weekend
  • physical capability to perform active cleaning tasks including lifting up to 25 pounds
  • willingness to work in a healthcare environment with patient contact and possible contagious illnesses
  • adherence to PPE and infection control guidelines
  • ability to handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • ability to acquire knowledge, skills, and abilities comparable to job requirements
  • adherence to infection control and safety protocols
  • customer service skills with professional communication
  • ability to operate cleaning equipment
  • compliance with HIPAA confidentiality requirements

Job Duties

  • work with medical staff, other ancillary professional staff, departmental service staff, patients, visitors, and the general public
  • use a high degree of professionalism focused on customer satisfaction at all times
  • maintain strict confidentiality and the utmost privacy of patient information as required by HIPAA guidelines
  • perform cleaning activities within a healthcare environment following infection control guidelines
  • operate cleaning equipment and maintain its safety and functionality
  • handle soiled linen, regular waste, and medical waste following safety and PPE protocols
  • maintain work area safety and readiness for regulatory inspection
