Job Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Suitable for Federal employment as determined by background investigation
  • Selective Services Registration for males born after 12/31/1959
  • Completion of online onboarding process if selected
  • Ability to perform physical requirements including standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work scheduled shifts including evenings and weekends
  • Compliance with safety and health regulations
  • One-year probationary period

  • Evidence of training or experience demonstrating ability to perform housekeeping duties
  • Knowledge of housekeeping techniques and procedures

Job Duties

  • Lead housekeeping operations as a working leader for three or more employees
  • Perform full range of housekeeping tasks including cleaning inpatient wards, outpatient clinics, community living centers, laboratories, pharmacies, and other medical areas
  • Communicate instructions from the supervisor and validate task completion
  • Coordinate projects with nurses and area supervisors to ensure timely completion
  • Train employees on proper procedures, techniques, and use of cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Manage textile distribution, inventory, uniform management, and patient assistance programs
  • Scrub, strip, refinish, and polish floors using hand operated and industrial equipment
