Job Requirements

  • Ability to read, speak, understand, and follow written and verbal directions in English with a basic range of comprehension
  • Recognize and comprehend emergency and urgent situations and react accordingly
  • Ability to use specialized cleaning equipment
  • Previous experience in hospital and/or hospitality cleaning preferred
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Valid California driver’s license preferred for those authorized to operate hospital vehicles

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED preferred
  • Previous hospital and/or hospitality housekeeping experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills including use of email and computer-based training
  • Ability to read, speak, understand, and follow written and verbal directions in English
  • Knowledge of operation of various cleaning equipment such as vacuums, extractors, bovac, and roto

Job Duties

  • Clean and supply patient rooms, treatment rooms, restrooms, utility rooms, nurseries, nursing stations, lounges, offices, waiting areas, and other assigned areas
  • Use applicable cleaning equipment, products, and supplies
  • Remove trash and linen from the facility
  • Demonstrate outstanding customer service and maintain high-quality cleaning standards
  • Perform high-level, time-sensitive disinfectant cleaning tasks in critical patient areas
  • Conduct specialty floor and carpet care including stripping, refinishing, and terminal disinfecting
  • Assist with linen services including distribution, stocking, inventory management, and cleaning linen rooms
