Job Requirements
- Ability to read, speak, understand, and follow written and verbal directions in English with a basic range of comprehension
- Recognize and comprehend emergency and urgent situations and react accordingly
- Ability to use specialized cleaning equipment
- Previous experience in hospital and/or hospitality cleaning preferred
- Basic computer literacy
- Valid California driver’s license preferred for those authorized to operate hospital vehicles
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED preferred
- Previous hospital and/or hospitality housekeeping experience preferred
- Basic computer skills including use of email and computer-based training
- Ability to read, speak, understand, and follow written and verbal directions in English
- Knowledge of operation of various cleaning equipment such as vacuums, extractors, bovac, and roto
Job Duties
- Clean and supply patient rooms, treatment rooms, restrooms, utility rooms, nurseries, nursing stations, lounges, offices, waiting areas, and other assigned areas
- Use applicable cleaning equipment, products, and supplies
- Remove trash and linen from the facility
- Demonstrate outstanding customer service and maintain high-quality cleaning standards
- Perform high-level, time-sensitive disinfectant cleaning tasks in critical patient areas
- Conduct specialty floor and carpet care including stripping, refinishing, and terminal disinfecting
- Assist with linen services including distribution, stocking, inventory management, and cleaning linen rooms
