Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or general education diploma
  • valid driver’s license for certain departments
  • auto insurance for certain departments
  • knowledge of proper cleaning procedures and sterile environment maintenance
  • ability to interpret data and instructions in multiple formats
  • strong communication skills
  • time management and organizational skills
  • ability to operate environmental service equipment
  • ability to work independently and in teams
  • ability to solve standard problems
  • willingness to work variable hours including rotating weekends

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or general education diploma
  • knowledge of sterile environment maintenance and cleaning procedures
  • ability to operate environmental service equipment including mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, washers, and dryers
  • effective written and verbal communication skills
  • well-developed time management and organizational skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • experience prioritizing assignments and meeting deadlines

Job Duties

  • maintain clean, attractive, and safe environments in assigned areas
  • perform general cleaning tasks in patient rooms, offices, and hallways
  • handle transport, equipment, and room setup duties
  • remove trash and manage linen handling effectively
  • distribute and maintain stock levels of supplies to departments
  • adhere to local, state, and federal safety and sanitization regulations
  • communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
