Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- additional license or certification requirements as determined by the hiring department
- ability to master skills related to cleaning procedures, chemical use, equipment operation, and customer-focused communication
- familiarity with infection control and PPE guidelines in healthcare settings
Job Duties
- perform cleaning activities within a healthcare environment to ensure infection control guidelines are met
- follow directives of the environmental services management team related to work assignments and areas needing improvement
- maintain strict confidentiality and uphold patient privacy according to HIPAA guidelines
- handle soiled linen, regular waste, and medical waste following safety and infection control precautions
- operate electronic systems for linen usage tracking and departmental supply management
- maintain and operate cleaning equipment safely and report safety concerns promptly
- assist in floor care processes and maintain work areas inspection-ready according to regulatory standards
