Job Requirements
- None
- Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 25 lbs or more
- Willingness to work Monday through Friday, 5:00 pm to 1:30 am shift
- Ability to follow infection control protocols and PPE procedures
- Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPPA
- Ability to work rotating shifts, holidays, and during inclement weather
- Commitment to safety and professionalism at all times
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired
- Ability to use proper scripting and maintain professionalism in interactions with patients, family, and guests
- Knowledge of infection control and PPE guidelines
- Ability to operate approved software programs and electronic devices for data entry of linen usage
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department
Job Duties
- Work with medical staff, other ancillary professional staff, departmental service staff, patients, visitors, and the general public
- Use a high degree of professionalism focused on customer satisfaction at all times
- Maintain strict confidentiality and the utmost privacy of patient information, as required by HIPPA guidelines
- Perform cleaning activities within a healthcare environment to ensure that infection control guidelines are met
- Follow proper infection control guidelines for the cleaning and disinfection of areas assigned and follow all body substance precautions and PPE guidelines
- Handle soiled linen, regular waste, and medical waste following all precautions required for personal safety and the safety of others
- Report any safety issues discovered promptly to the supervisor
