Job Requirements

  • None
  • Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 25 lbs or more
  • Willingness to work Monday through Friday, 5:00 pm to 1:30 am shift
  • Ability to follow infection control protocols and PPE procedures
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPPA
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, holidays, and during inclement weather
  • Commitment to safety and professionalism at all times

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired
  • Ability to use proper scripting and maintain professionalism in interactions with patients, family, and guests
  • Knowledge of infection control and PPE guidelines
  • Ability to operate approved software programs and electronic devices for data entry of linen usage
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment
  • Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department

Job Duties

  • Work with medical staff, other ancillary professional staff, departmental service staff, patients, visitors, and the general public
  • Use a high degree of professionalism focused on customer satisfaction at all times
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and the utmost privacy of patient information, as required by HIPPA guidelines
  • Perform cleaning activities within a healthcare environment to ensure that infection control guidelines are met
  • Follow proper infection control guidelines for the cleaning and disinfection of areas assigned and follow all body substance precautions and PPE guidelines
  • Handle soiled linen, regular waste, and medical waste following all precautions required for personal safety and the safety of others
  • Report any safety issues discovered promptly to the supervisor
