- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, ambulating, and lifting objects up to 25 lbs
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, holidays, and during inclement weather
- Compliance with infection control and PPE guidelines
- Maintain professionalism and positive customer service attitude
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department
- Ability to maintain confidentiality under HIPAA
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely
- Basic computer skills for data entry
Job Duties
- Work with medical staff, other ancillary professional staff, departmental service staff, patients, visitors, and the general public using professionalism and customer satisfaction
- Use proper scripting while in contact with patients, family, and guests
- Maintain strict confidentiality and privacy of patient information as required by HIPAA guidelines
- Follow directives of the Environmental Services management team related to work assignments, workloads, and improvement areas
- Perform cleaning activities within a healthcare environment ensuring infection control compliance
- Handle soiled linen, regular waste, and medical waste following safety precautions
- Perform clean linen activities including delivery and stocking using electronic data entry systems
- Safely operate equipment and maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas
- Report safety issues promptly to supervisors
- Assist in floor care processes and support development of staff
- Maintain equipment and work areas inspection-ready in compliance with regulatory agencies
