- availability to work Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm and every other weekend
- willingness to follow infection control guidelines and PPE use
- capacity to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- adherence to HIPAA privacy rules
- commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to acquire knowledge, skills and abilities relevant to healthcare environmental services
- professionalism and strong customer service skills
- knowledge of infection control and safety procedures preferred
- ability to operate cleaning equipment and use personal protective equipment
- capacity to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
Job Duties
- perform cleaning activities within a healthcare environment to meet infection control guidelines
- handle soiled linen, regular and medical waste following safety protocols
- maintain patient privacy and follow HIPAA guidelines
- follow Environmental Services management directives and master required skills
- use proper scripting and maintain professional communication with patients and staff
- operate cleaning equipment and maintain a safe work environment
- report safety issues promptly to supervisors
