Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in housekeeping or cleaning preferred
  • ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain a clean environment
  • ability to use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely
  • good time management skills
  • effective communication abilities

Job Qualifications

  • ability to communicate, read and write in English
  • basic familiarity with computers preferred

Job Duties

  • Maintain assigned areas in an aseptically clean and aesthetically pleasing manner
  • remove soiled linen and waste from assigned areas
  • clean and maintain hard floor surfaces including dust mopping, wet mopping, stripping, waxing and polishing
  • clean and maintain carpeted floors including vacuuming, shampooing and extracting
  • clean and sanitize fittings and furniture
  • clean walls, ceilings and vents
  • clean inside glass in assigned areas
  • follow security measures for cleaning medication rooms and refrigerators
  • demonstrate knowledge of safe and proper use of housekeeping equipment
  • handle cleaning chemicals safely using protective equipment
  • care for and report damaged or dangerous equipment
  • assist with conference room setups as needed
  • complete all job assignments per scheduled requirements
  • communicate effectively with customers, co-workers and supervisors
  • report unsafe conditions
  • participate in educational programs and in-service meetings
