Job Duties

  • Maintains assigned areas in an aseptically clean and aesthetically pleasing manner
  • Removes soiled linen and waste from assigned area
  • Cleans and maintains hard floor surfaces including dust mopping, wet mopping, stripping, waxing, and polishing
  • Cleans and maintains carpeted floors including vacuuming, shampooing, and extracting
  • Cleans and sanitizes fittings and furniture
  • Cleans walls, ceilings, and vents
  • Cleans inside glass in assigned area
  • Follows security measures when cleaning medication rooms and refrigerators to maintain medication inventory control and security
  • Utilizes tools, equipment, and supplies to achieve maximum efficiency and safety
  • Demonstrates knowledge and safe use of housekeeping equipment and handles cleaning chemicals with protective equipment
  • Reports damaged or dangerous equipment to supervisor
  • Assists with conference room setups as required
  • Completes job assignments per scheduled requirements efficiently and safely
  • Communicates effectively and respectfully with all customers and coworkers
  • Reports unsafe conditions to appropriate supervisor
  • Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings
