Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- experience in institutional housekeeping or custodial floor care
- reliable and punctual
- ability to work under general supervision
- must pass a negative drug screen for all illegal substances prior to employment
- ability to meet physical demands of the job
- willingness to work flexible hours
- no required certifications or licenses
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- experience in institutional housekeeping preferred for EVS Tech 1
- six months experience as custodian or similar with floor care for EVS Tech 2
- ability to follow safety and cleanliness standards
- effective communication skills
- ability to operate cleaning and floor care equipment
Job Duties
- perform daily linen duties and cleaning of inpatient, ancillary, outpatient and administrative areas
- ensure a safe, clean, functional and aesthetically attractive physical environment
- maintain facility floors by stripping, waxing, cleaning carpets and using mechanical equipment
- comply with standards set by Bartlett Regional Hospital, The Joint Commission and the State of Alaska
- work under the general supervision of Environmental Services Lead or Supervisor
- act as floor care expert at the EVS Tech 2 level
