Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in institutional housekeeping preferred (EVS Tech 1)
- Six months of experience as a custodian or similar position with floor care experience (EVS Tech 2)
- Ability to work under general supervision
- Ability to perform physical cleaning tasks
- Must produce a negative drug screen for all illegal substances in the State of Alaska prior to employment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in institutional housekeeping preferred (EVS Tech 1)
- Six months of experience as a custodian or similar position with floor care experience (EVS Tech 2)
- Ability to follow safety protocols and cleaning procedures
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- No certifications or licenses required
Job Duties
- Perform daily linen duties and cleaning of inpatient, ancillary, outpatient and administrative areas
- Ensure a safe, clean, functional and aesthetically attractive physical environment
- Maintain facility floors by stripping, waxing, cleaning carpets, and using mechanical equipment (EVS Tech 2)
- Follow standards established by Bartlett Regional Hospital, The Joint Commission, and the State of Alaska
- Operate cleaning equipment and supplies correctly and safely
- Report maintenance or safety issues to supervisors
- Collaborate with team members to uphold cleanliness and safety standards
