Job Requirements
- u.s. citizenship
- suitable for federal employment determined by background investigation
- pre-employment physical required
- selective service registration required for males born after 12/31/1959
- complete online onboarding process with acceptable identification
- serve 1-year probationary period
- willingness to comply with flu vaccination or approved exemption
- physical ability to perform continuous walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, pulling, and pushing
- ability to use powered cleaning equipment over 50 pounds
- work full-time Tuesday through Saturday night shift
- availability to work indoors and occasionally outdoors under various weather conditions

Job Qualifications
- evidence of training or experience demonstrating ability to perform duties
- experience relevant to custodial and janitorial work
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- ability to operate cleaning equipment safely
- knowledge of safety and infection control practices
- good physical dexterity and coordination
- attention to detail
Job Duties
- cleaning wards, patient rooms, storerooms, offices, corridors, restrooms, shower rooms, and other areas
- sweep, mop, and scrub (machine) floors
- vacuum carpets and upholstered furniture
- empty waste baskets
- clean light globes and Venetian blinds, wash walls, windows and ceilings by climbing small ladders
- refill toilet tissue and towel dispensers
- move furniture
