Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
  • Ability to move freely including standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance
  • Exposure to blood borne pathogens
  • Willingness to follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment
  • Compliance with infection prevention standards

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language

Job Duties

  • Clean and disinfect patient rooms, floors, offices, conference rooms, equipment, furniture, common areas, and waiting rooms following hospital-approved infection prevention standards
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure patient and department priorities are met day-to-day resulting in the safest outcomes
  • Work independently or on a team to achieve system cleanliness standards
  • Use required personal protective equipment per infection prevention protocol
  • Properly mix and use hospital-approved chemicals and disinfectants, following dwell times for each task
  • Handle various types of waste such as regular, recycling, hazardous, chemo, regulated medical, pharmaceutical, and radioactive waste according to regulations
  • Support hospital mission, values, policies, confidentiality, corporate compliance, customer service standards, and ethical behavior
