Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
- Ability to move freely including standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance
- Exposure to blood borne pathogens
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment
- Compliance with infection prevention standards
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language
Job Duties
- Clean and disinfect patient rooms, floors, offices, conference rooms, equipment, furniture, common areas, and waiting rooms following hospital-approved infection prevention standards
- Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure patient and department priorities are met day-to-day resulting in the safest outcomes
- Work independently or on a team to achieve system cleanliness standards
- Use required personal protective equipment per infection prevention protocol
- Properly mix and use hospital-approved chemicals and disinfectants, following dwell times for each task
- Handle various types of waste such as regular, recycling, hazardous, chemo, regulated medical, pharmaceutical, and radioactive waste according to regulations
- Support hospital mission, values, policies, confidentiality, corporate compliance, customer service standards, and ethical behavior
