Job Requirements

- Must understand Material Safety Data Sheets and product labels

Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- 1+ years experience in a medical office preferred
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9/10, and CPT-4 coding
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Positive communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Clean assigned patient and public areas daily
- Collect and remove trash
- Sanitize all surfaces
- Demonstrate knowledge of infection control and isolation procedures
- Operate cleaning equipment properly
- Document all work performed
- Stock paper items and cleaning supplies
- Collect and stage soiled linen
- Access ancillary units, restrooms, and offices
- Clean and disinfect areas with bodily fluids
- Dispose of normal and biohazardous waste
- Utilize equipment such as cleaning and trash carts
- Use Bed Management system for bed throughput tracking
