Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work full time 80 hours per pay period
- Available to work day shifts
- Capable of performing physical tasks including lifting and standing for long periods
- Willingness to comply with hospital isolation and safety policies
- Ability to work on-site and not remote
- Previous cleaning or environmental services experience preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in environmental services or cleaning preferred
- Ability to follow hospital policies and procedures especially regarding patient safety and infection control
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing cleaning tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Basic critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Job Duties
- Clean patient rooms and other assigned areas daily including collecting and removing trash changing bed linens and sanitizing all surfaces
- Follow policies and procedures on patient isolation
- Stock paper items and other supplies in patient rooms as necessary or designated
- Maintain cart and equipment in clean working condition and store in appropriate storage area when finished with shift
- Use critical thinking skills and decisive judgement to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Take appropriate action to ensure a safe and sanitary environment
- Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards
