Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work full time on day shift
- Previous experience in a healthcare or hospital cleaning environment preferred
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks
- Ability to follow safety and infection control policies
- Must be able to work onsite
- Availability to work 80 hours per pay period
- Ability to adhere to hospital standards and procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in environmental services or housekeeping is an advantage
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and hospital protocols
- Strong attention to detail
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Cleans patient rooms and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens and sanitizing all surfaces
- Follows policies and procedures on patient isolation
- Stocks paper items and other supplies in patient rooms as necessary or designated
- Maintains cart and equipment in clean, working condition and stores in appropriate storage area when finished with shift
- Applies critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and works with minimal supervision
- Operates effectively in a fast-paced environment and takes appropriate action
- Ensures compliance with hospital sanitation and safety standards
