Job Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Selective Service Registration required for males born after 12/31/1959
- Subject to background and security investigation
- Pre-employment physical required
- Completion of online onboarding
- Must provide acceptable identification
- Participation in seasonal influenza vaccination program required
- Must serve a 1-year probationary period
- Ability to perform physical tasks including walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, pulling, and pushing
- Ability to safely use heavy powered cleaning equipment
- Willingness to work day and evening shifts
- Must not be currently disqualified or barred from federal employment
- Compliance with safety and health protocols
Job Qualifications
- Evidence of training or experience demonstrating the ability to perform the duties of the position
- Experience in housekeeping or custodial work
- Ability to follow directions and work reliably

Job Duties
- Perform a full range of light and heavy cleaning duties
- Clean wards, patient rooms, storerooms, offices, corridors, restrooms, and shower rooms
- Sweep, mop, scrub floors manually and with machines
- Vacuum carpets and upholstered furniture
- Empty waste baskets and discard trash
- Clean light globes, Venetian blinds, walls, windows, and ceilings
- Refill toilet tissue and towel dispensers
- Move furniture as needed
- Address spills promptly
- Install and replace light bulbs
- Carry out assignments with minimal supervision
