Job Qualifications
- No formal education required
- recent, successful, structured work experience preferred
- previous healthcare facility or motel experience preferred
- knowledge of the use of common cleaning tools such as wet mops, vacuums and solutions
- ability to read, write and follow simple oral and written instructions
- ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks dependably
- ability to perform tasks and establish priorities to accommodate interruptions
- ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop and reach overhead and carry moderate loads
Job Duties
- Distribute clean linen and remove soiled linen from halls
- daily clean rooms, clinics, lobbies, bathrooms, showers, offices and off-site facilities
- terminal clean resident rooms, patients' rooms, and clinical treatment rooms
- perform dust mopping and light wet mopping
- dust and clean furniture and equipment
- polish metal work
- clean and make beds
- change cubicle curtains
- clean inside patient windows and windowsills
- maintain supplies in neat and orderly manner
- empty waste containers and infectious waste containers
- perform a variety of related tasks
- may be assigned to a specific work area on a routine basis
- perform other duties assigned by supervisor
