Job Requirements

  • u.s. citizenship
  • suitability for federal employment as determined by background investigation
  • successful completion of urinalysis screening for illegal drug use
  • selective service registration for males born after 12/31/1959
  • completion of online onboarding process including acceptable identification
  • commitment to serve a 1-year probationary period
  • ability to perform physical cleaning tasks
  • availability to work various schedules including nights and weekends

Job Duties

  • performing a full range of light and heavy cleaning duties and routine housekeeping tasks
  • maintaining cleanliness in wards, patient rooms, storerooms, offices, corridors, restrooms, and shower rooms
  • sweeping, mopping, scrubbing floors using machines, vacuuming carpets and upholstered furniture
  • emptying waste baskets and removing trash
  • cleaning light fixtures and Venetian blinds
  • washing walls, windows, and ceilings using ladders
  • replenishing toilet tissue and towel dispensers
  • moving furniture as needed
  • addressing spills quickly to maintain safety
  • carrying out assignments with minimal supervision
