Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
- Basic computer skills preferred
- Ability to operate small electrical equipment such as vacuum cleaners
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English including reading and comprehending chemical labels and safety materials
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance
- Willingness to follow hospital attendance and punctuality policies
- Ability to work standing, walking, bending, climbing and lifting throughout the shift
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Clean and disinfect assigned areas by washing walls, doors, ceilings, furniture, floors, and equipment with appropriate cleaning solutions
- Operate cleaning equipment following department procedures
- Use chemicals and solutions according to department policy
- Keep work areas orderly, clean, and safe
- Demonstrate commitment to customer satisfaction by utilizing AIDET and maintaining positive interpersonal relationships
- Thoroughly wash and sanitize beds and patient rooms after discharges
- Replenish supplies such as paper towels and soap
- Collect and sanitize waste and recycling materials
- Apply infection control and safety protocols
- Prepare detergents and germicidal solutions according to established formulas
- Move and arrange furniture and equipment as needed
- Report equipment needing repair and safety hazards to supervisors
- Attend all mandatory meetings and complete required training
- Maintain proper attendance and punctuality as per hospital guidelines
