Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to work 32 hours per week including Friday to Monday shifts
  • physical capability to lift and move equipment and supplies
  • attention to detail and safety compliance
  • ability to work independently
  • understanding of infection prevention and chemical handling standards

Job Qualifications

  • Demonstrated communication skills including ability to differentiate color-coded labels and chemicals
  • ability to follow written and verbal directions
  • ability to work a flexible schedule to meet department needs
  • demonstrated professional housekeeping experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Clean and disinfect assigned areas using department cleaning procedures
  • use cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards
  • properly dispose of infectious waste and trash
  • handle and clean up emergency spills per department guidelines
  • follow all infection prevention practices including proper cleaning and disinfection protocols, hand hygiene, and PPE use
  • maintain work and storage areas following established safety policies
  • communicate effectively with staff and patients as needed
