Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to work 32 hours per week including Friday to Monday shifts
- physical capability to lift and move equipment and supplies
- attention to detail and safety compliance
- ability to work independently
- understanding of infection prevention and chemical handling standards
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrated communication skills including ability to differentiate color-coded labels and chemicals
- ability to follow written and verbal directions
- ability to work a flexible schedule to meet department needs
- demonstrated professional housekeeping experience preferred
Job Duties
- Clean and disinfect assigned areas using department cleaning procedures
- use cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards
- properly dispose of infectious waste and trash
- handle and clean up emergency spills per department guidelines
- follow all infection prevention practices including proper cleaning and disinfection protocols, hand hygiene, and PPE use
- maintain work and storage areas following established safety policies
- communicate effectively with staff and patients as needed
