Job Requirements
- Housekeeping experience required
- Knowledge of basic housekeeping practices and procedures
- Proper handling and disposal of infectious waste
- Safety skills in handling housekeeping chemicals
- Acute healthcare work experience with heavy equipment such as buffers, extractors, wide area vacuums, and wet vacuums
- Ability to converse and communicate verbally in English
- Ability to work tactfully and effectively with others
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive issues and materials

Job Duties
- Clean and sanitize patient rooms, common areas, and other areas of the facility
- Follow established cleaning and disinfection protocols and procedures
- Collect and dispose of waste, biohazardous waste, and linens
- Stock and maintain supplies in patient rooms and common areas
- Respond to requests for cleaning services from healthcare staff
- Operate heavy-duty equipment and use special cleaning equipment
- Maintain adherence to safety standards and chemical handling procedures
