Job Requirements
- Housekeeping experience required
- knowledge of basic housekeeping practices and procedures
- experience with proper handling and disposal of infectious waste
- ability to perform safety skills in handling housekeeping chemicals
- acute healthcare work experience
- experience using heavy equipment such as buffer extractors, wide area vacuums, and wet vacuums
Job Qualifications
- Experience in housekeeping utilizing basic housekeeping practices and procedures
- knowledge of proper handling and disposal of infectious waste
- familiarity with safety skills related to handling housekeeping chemicals
- experience working in an acute healthcare environment
- ability to operate heavy cleaning equipment such as buffer extractors, wide area vacuums, and wet vacuums
Job Duties
- Clean and sanitize patient rooms, common areas, and other areas
- follow established cleaning and disinfection protocols and procedures
- collect and dispose of waste, biohazardous waste and linens
- stock and maintain supplies in patient rooms and common areas
- respond to requests for cleaning services from healthcare staff
- operate heavy-duty equipment and use special cleaning equipment
- ensure compliance with safety standards and infection control policies
