Job Requirements

  • Eighth grade education and ability to read and write
  • no certification, competency or license required
  • ability to demonstrate competency through an initial orientation
  • ability to work full time on day shifts
  • ability to follow departmental policies and safety protocols
  • good communication skills to interact with patients and staff
  • physical ability to perform floor maintenance and manual tasks such as moving furniture
  • willingness to engage in continuous improvement activities
  • adherence to the company’s attendance policy

  • perform related duties as assigned

Job Duties

  • Dust mop and wet mop hard floor surfaces with disinfectant solution according to department floor maintenance procedures
  • complete proper cleaning and disinfection procedures according to the assignments and/or area
  • interact with patients and patient environment while performing duties
  • remove waste following the proper Waste Handling and Waste Removal procedures and safety protocols
  • engage with the department goals for improvement of quality to include feedback and knowledge of current status of measured goals
  • remove wax finish from hard floor surfaces, reapply wax finish to hard floor surfaces according to department floor maintenance procedures
  • buff hard floor surfaces to maintain appearance
  • vacuum carpet using conventional vacuum cleaner or large industrial vacuum cleaner
