Job Requirements
- Eighth grade education and ability to read and write
- no certification, competency or license required
- ability to demonstrate competency through an initial orientation
- ability to work full time on day shifts
- ability to follow departmental policies and safety protocols
- good communication skills to interact with patients and staff
- physical ability to perform floor maintenance and manual tasks such as moving furniture
- willingness to engage in continuous improvement activities
- adherence to the company’s attendance policy

- perform related duties as assigned
Job Duties
- Dust mop and wet mop hard floor surfaces with disinfectant solution according to department floor maintenance procedures
- complete proper cleaning and disinfection procedures according to the assignments and/or area
- interact with patients and patient environment while performing duties
- remove waste following the proper Waste Handling and Waste Removal procedures and safety protocols
- engage with the department goals for improvement of quality to include feedback and knowledge of current status of measured goals
- remove wax finish from hard floor surfaces, reapply wax finish to hard floor surfaces according to department floor maintenance procedures
- buff hard floor surfaces to maintain appearance
- vacuum carpet using conventional vacuum cleaner or large industrial vacuum cleaner
