Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to perform medium work requiring lifting of 20 to 50 pounds occasionally
- Knowledge of safe chemical use and cleaning procedures
- Ability to follow infection control and safety protocols
- Willingness to work full-time day shift
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations
- Tuberculosis testing upon hire and as required

Job Duties
- Perform daily occupied and discharge/transfer cleaning and disinfection of patient care areas and equipment
- Adhere to health care cleaning and disinfecting principles and safety guidelines
- Maintain and restock cleaning carts and supplies in an orderly fashion
- Remove waste and transport to proper disposal areas following waste stream protocols
- Follow infection prevention practices including hand hygiene and PPE protocols
- Demonstrate knowledge of facility safety and patient privacy (HIPAA) requirements
- Operate and maintain EVS tools and equipment
- Assist with specialty cleaning tasks such as conference room setups and cubicle curtain maintenance
- Participate in departmental performance improvement initiatives
- Assist with onboarding new Environmental Services Technicians
