- Ability to explain orally or in writing the differences between levels of disinfection and perform intermediate level disinfection in areas where required

Job Duties
- Completing daily occupied and discharge/transfer cleaning and disinfection of patient care areas, equipment, and common areas
- performing duties with knowledge of healthcare cleaning and disinfecting principles and requirements
- demonstrating safe chemical use and equipment handling within the healthcare environment
- adhering to organization safety, risk management, and infection control guidelines and standards
- performing additional tasks such as conference room setups, cleaning stairwells and elevators, and hanging cubicle curtains as needed
- mentoring new Environmental Services Tech I employees
- collaborating effectively with the patient care team
- performing other assigned duties
