Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic computer proficiency preferred
  • Ability to operate small electrical cleaning equipment
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Effective communication in English
  • Ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols
  • Physical ability to perform job duties including lifting up to 35 pounds
  • Availability to follow hospital attendance and punctuality policies
  • Willingness to complete mandatory training sessions
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow chain of command

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
  • Basic computer skills preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Effective communication in English including reading chemical labels
  • Knowledge of cleaning and disinfecting procedures
  • Ability to follow safety and infection control policies
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting and bending
  • Commitment to professional growth and learning
  • Familiarity with hospital environment is a plus

Job Duties

  • Clean and disinfect assigned areas including patient rooms, offices, restrooms, stairwells, and other hospital areas
  • Operate cleaning equipment according to department procedures
  • Use chemical solutions safely following hospital policies
  • Maintain work areas in a clean, safe, and orderly condition
  • Demonstrate commitment to customer satisfaction using AIDET with patients and colleagues
  • Clean and sanitize beds and rooms following patient discharges
  • Replenish supplies such as paper towels and soaps
  • Collect and segregate waste, including hazardous and medical waste
  • Prepare cleaning and disinfecting solutions per established formulas
  • Rearrange furniture and equipment for cleaning and events
  • Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards
  • Attend mandatory trainings and complete required CBTs
  • Maintain good attendance and communicate absences per policy
