Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous cleaning or janitorial experience in a healthcare or similar environment preferred
- Ability to operate EVS cleaning equipment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work full-time, including the 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm shift
- Physical capability to move light furniture, equipment, and supplies
Job Qualifications
- Basic ability to read and understand simple instructions
- Ability to follow documented procedures
- Ability to deal tactfully with public and hospital personnel
- Excellent skill in operating EVS cleaning equipment
Job Duties
- Perform a variety of cleaning and janitorial duties as required to maintain hospital cleanliness
- Maintain sanitary, orderly and attractive conditions in all assigned hospital areas
- Move light furniture, equipment and supplies in patient rooms, nursing stations, corridors, lounges, bathrooms, nourishment rooms, utility rooms and offices
- Operate EVS cleaning equipment effectively and safely
- Follow specific documented cleaning procedures
- Interact tactfully with hospital personnel and the public
- Ensure assigned areas meet hospital environmental standards
