Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in environmental services or healthcare cleaning preferred
  • strong communication skills
  • basic computer literacy
  • ability to perform physical tasks requiring up to 50lbs of force occasionally
  • knowledge of disinfection levels and cleaning protocols
  • ability to operate cleaning machinery

Job Qualifications

  • strong communication skills including ability to read, write and speak english
  • basic computer skills
  • knowledge of low and intermediate level disinfection techniques
  • ability to explain the differences between levels of disinfection
  • experience using power and specialized cleaning equipment
  • effective oral and written communication skills
  • ability to work independently
  • respectful listening and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • maintain a safe and clean environment in procedural areas including operating room, gi, cath lab, ir, pharmacy clean rooms, and sterile processing
  • perform terminal cleans following procedures and established department standards
  • provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff
  • utilize industry-specific knowledge to clean emergency departments and other unique procedural areas
  • operate power equipment, floor machines, carpet cleaning equipment, wet and dry vacuum equipment, and push sweepers
  • communicate openly and respectfully with team members and coworkers
  • work independently without close supervision
