Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education preferred
- one year of experience preferred
- proficiency in English language
- ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and visitors
- demonstrated safety and competency skills
- ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
- ability to operate housekeeping equipment and chemicals safely and efficiently
- ability to work within departmental policies and procedures
- ability to perform physically demanding tasks
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education preferred

- demonstrates skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job
- sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English
- ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members and co-workers
- demonstrates ability to access information within the department and hospital system

- ability to accurately and efficiently perform duties with minimal supervision
- demonstrates efficient and safe use of housekeeping equipment and chemicals
Job Duties
- Interacts in a positive, professional manner with patients, family and staff

- responds promptly and positively to requests for assistance with directions and information from patients, staff and visitors

- performs efficient room cleaning processes ensuring timely patient admissions
- follows department process for room cleaning and discharge inspections, as appropriate, with the goal of meeting or exceeding HCAHPS cleanliness scores
