Job Requirements
- no license required
- high school diploma and or GED preferred but not required
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- must be able to lift, bend, push, and pull
- standing and or walking approximately eight hours a day with no lifting restrictions
- ability to see well with correction at a distance of 20 feet and up close
- respect for confidentiality and privacy needs
- basic skills in equipment operation and maintenance
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED preferred but not required
- ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to communicate effectively
- basic knowledge of safety procedures and equipment operation
- demonstrated ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling
- good vision with correction to see both near and at distances
- respectful approach to patient confidentiality and privacy
- willingness to provide courteous service to others
Job Duties
- perform cleaning of assigned areas to maintain high quality and sanitation standards as required by regulatory bodies
- replenish supplies and dispensable items regularly
- transport and dispose of waste and soiled materials in compliance with safety protocols
- operate and maintain equipment such as vacuum sweepers, trash carts, trash compactors, industrial washers and dryers, electric beds, and flat bed carts
- ensure patient and staff safety by adhering to confidentiality rules and privacy needs
- collaborate effectively with peers and other hospital staff to foster a supportive environment
- comply with infection control and environmental safety policies
