Job Requirements
- no license required
- ability to lift, bend, push, and pull
- must be able to stand and/or walk approximately eight hours a day
- no lifting restrictions
- ability to see well with correction at a distance of at least 20 feet and up close
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- willingness to work rotating weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED preferred but not required
- ability to read, write, speak, and understand English for effective communication
- experience with cleaning and maintaining a sanitary environment
- knowledge of basic safety protocols and equipment operation
- ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, and standing for long durations
- attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards
- commitment to patient confidentiality and privacy
Job Duties
- maintain assigned areas by performing cleaning tasks
- replenish supplies and dispensable items as needed
- transport and dispose of waste and soiled materials properly
- operate basic cleaning and safety equipment including vacuum sweepers and trash compactors
- adhere to Joint Commission and State Board of Health cleanliness standards
- respect patient confidentiality and privacy
- collaborate and foster teamwork with hospital staff
