Job Requirements

  • no license required
  • ability to lift, bend, push, and pull
  • must be able to stand and/or walk approximately eight hours a day
  • no lifting restrictions
  • ability to see well with correction at a distance of at least 20 feet and up close
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • willingness to work rotating weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED preferred but not required
  • ability to read, write, speak, and understand English for effective communication
  • experience with cleaning and maintaining a sanitary environment
  • knowledge of basic safety protocols and equipment operation
  • ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, and standing for long durations
  • attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards
  • commitment to patient confidentiality and privacy

Job Duties

  • maintain assigned areas by performing cleaning tasks
  • replenish supplies and dispensable items as needed
  • transport and dispose of waste and soiled materials properly
  • operate basic cleaning and safety equipment including vacuum sweepers and trash compactors
  • adhere to Joint Commission and State Board of Health cleanliness standards
  • respect patient confidentiality and privacy
  • collaborate and foster teamwork with hospital staff
