Job Requirements
- No license required
- Ability to lift, bend, push, and pull without restrictions
- Ability to stand and walk approximately eight hours per day
- Ability to see well with or without correction at a distance of at least 20 feet and up close
- Willingness to work every other weekend and holidays
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
- Ability to provide courteous service to others
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Basic knowledge of safety and equipment operation
- Ability to work effectively in a teamwork environment
- Respect for patient confidentiality and privacy
Job Duties
- Perform cleaning tasks in assigned hospital areas
- Replenish supplies and dispensable items
- Transport and dispose of waste and soiled materials
- Operate basic safety equipment including vacuum sweepers and trash compactors
- Maintain high cleanliness standards in compliance with Joint Commission and State Board of Health
- Communicate effectively with patients and staff
- Foster teamwork with peers and other hospital staff
