Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Willingness to work part-time with rotating shifts including nights, evenings, days, and weekends
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including moving furniture and equipment
  • Ability to follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
  • Willingness to respond to emergency codes as directed
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean, sanitary environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Some related work experience preferred but willing to train
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures and safety protocols
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment

Job Duties

  • Clean cath/ PV and EP labs
  • Select cleaning materials and prepare chemicals
  • Load maid’s carts and transport to work area
  • Clean assigned areas by washing furniture, tile, fixtures, and equipment with germicidal solutions
  • Clean high touch areas such as door knobs, handrails, telephones, light switches, walls, ceilings, vents, televisions, and windows
  • Sweep and mop floor areas, vacuum and spot clean carpets, arrange furniture and equipment
  • Request cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Operate mechanical and electrical cleaning equipment
  • Clean equipment and notify manager of any repair needs
  • Report safety hazards to manager
  • Clean carts and equipment and replace items orderly
  • Climb ladder to hang cubicle and window drapes
  • Collect waste and hazardous waste
  • Clean isolation rooms during patient stay and post-discharge
  • Clean operating suites using prescribed cleaning solutions
  • Arrange furniture for meetings
  • Assist with delivery of laundry carts to patient areas
