Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in housekeeping or custodial work preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting bending and standing for extended periods
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to interact positively with residents and staff
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Ability to operate laundry machines
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail
Job Duties
- Maintains common areas offices employee resident lounges public bathrooms and hallways in a clean and orderly condition
- Dust mops spot mops all common areas and hallways as assigned
- Cleans bathrooms including washing sanitizing and polishing bathroom fixtures and assuring water marks are removed
- Maintains refills supplies
- Discards waste trash into proper containers and relines trash receptacle with plastic liner
- Cleans polishes water fountains stocks re-stock drinking cups
- Vacuums lounge areas organizes magazines reading materials ensures order
- Damp dusts high dusts all furniture sills ledges and handrails
- Monitors ceiling tiles walls handrails floors vents and baseboards and writes maintenance requisitions for repairs
- Washes and replaces dining room table cloths
- Assures work areas are clean and equipment tools supplies are properly stored at all times including before breaks meal times and at end of shift
