Job Requirements

- Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience preferred
- Ability to interact positively with residents

Job Duties
- Maintains common areas, offices, employee/resident lounges, public bathrooms and hallways in a clean and orderly condition
- Dust mops/spot mops all common areas and hallways as assigned
- Cleans bathrooms including washing, sanitizing, polishing fixtures and maintaining/refilling supplies
- Discards waste/trash into proper containers and relines trash receptacles
- Cleans/polishes water fountains and stocks drinking cups
- Vacuums lounge areas and organizes magazines/reading materials
- Damp dusts/high dusts furniture, sills, ledges and handrails
- Monitors ceiling tiles, walls, handrails, floors, vents and baseboards and writes maintenance requisitions for repairs
- Washes and replaces dining room table cloths
- Assures work areas and equipment/tools/supplies are properly stored at all times
- Performs housekeeping and cleaning functions including making residents' beds, cleaning windows/mirrors, vacuuming carpets, spot cleaning, sweeping, mopping, disinfecting, wall cleaning, polishing furnishings and fixtures, terminal/discharge cleaning, and cleaning vacant rooms
- Performs laundry duties such as transporting soiled linens, sorting linens, operating washer and dryer, folding clean laundry, delivering clean linen and clothing to specified areas, organizing linen closets, washing residents' laundry as requested, tumbling/fluffing draperies, searching for missing items, cleaning machines and vents, discarding worn out items, and cleaning linen room walls
