The Environmental Services (EVS) Manager position is based at Travis Air Force Base, located in the greater Bay Area of California. Job Requirements
- Must have a bachelor's degree in business administration, Healthcare Management, or related field
- Must possess IEHA Registered Executive Housekeeper (REH) or AHA Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) certification
- Minimum three years of experience managing EVS functions in a Joint Commission-accredited hospital
- Demonstrated experience with sterile terminal cleaning during outbreaks
- Must be able to pass federal, state, or local government background investigation
- Must comply with drug-free workplace policies
Job Qualifications

- IEHA Registered Executive Housekeeper (REH) or AHA Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) certification
- Minimum three years managing EVS functions in a Joint Commission-accredited hospital
- Demonstrated experience with sterile terminal cleaning during outbreaks
- Preferred IEHA Certified Executive Housekeeper (CEH)
- ANSI/ASHI Certified Infection Control Specialist (CICS)
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
Job Duties
- Develop and revise the EVS Procedures Manual, QASP, and outbreak management protocols in alignment with TJC standards and CDC guidelines
- Recruit, train, and supervise EVS Supervisors, Shift Leaders, and Technicians
- Conduct performance appraisals and implement corrective action plans
- Implement audit tools such as fluorescent marker and ATP monitoring to track cleaning efficacy
- Analyze KPI trends to drive performance improvements
- Manage procurement and inventory of cleaning agents, PPE, and specialized equipment
- Review SDS for new chemicals and enforce safe storage and disposal practices
- Serve on Infection Control, Environment of Care, and Safety Committees
- Present monthly performance dashboards and risk mitigation plans
