Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- At least 6 months of housekeeping or janitorial experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of infection control standards and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
- bilingual skills a plus
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Physically able to perform repetitive tasks, stand for extended periods, and lift/move up to 50 lbs

Job Duties
- Clean, disinfect, and restock supplies in patient rooms, exam rooms, operating rooms, emergency departments, and common areas
- Follow hospital-approved cleaning protocols and infection control procedures, including terminal cleaning and isolation room procedures
- Dispose of biohazardous waste, sharps containers, and soiled linens safely and according to regulations
- Clean high-touch surfaces regularly to minimize the risk of infection transmission
- Respond promptly to housekeeping service requests from nursing staff and other departments
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor machines, auto scrubbers, vacuums, and carpet extractors
- Restock hand sanitizers, soap dispensers, paper products, and other consumables
- Report safety hazards, damaged equipment, or facility issues to the EVS Supervisor
- Participate in emergency cleaning situations (e.g., spills, code contamination clean-ups) as needed
- Maintain professional and compassionate interaction with patients, visitors, and healthcare personnel
