Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 years of management experience
  • 3 years of work experience in housekeeping, environmental or custodial services
  • ability to analyze data and present information effectively
  • strong leadership and motivational skills
  • experience with project management
  • proficiency in computer applications
  • ability to manage multiple shifts and respond promptly to client concerns
  • commitment to safety and quality standards

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • solid leadership skills
  • previous custodial or housekeeping supervisory/management experience preferably in a university or school environment
  • ability to analyze data and communicate effectively
  • experience managing projects within timelines
  • demonstrate innovation and solution-oriented thinking
  • team building and employee engagement skills
  • strong quality assurance skills and attention to detail
  • computer savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web-based tools

Job Duties

  • Work the swing shift and events
  • provide leadership and support for all shifts
  • train employees and provide inspections with reporting on team success and challenges
  • develop improvement plans for noted deficiencies
  • understand proper use of all tools including chemicals and floor care equipment
  • order and maintain proper levels of supply and equipment
  • provide immediate response to client concerns
  • be a safety champion
  • provide a clean and safe environment for students, faculty, visitors, and staff
  • be a critical thinker, adapt to a changing environment
  • effectively manage Sodexo's SMS system and other operating systems
  • be a hands-on leader, manage by walking around
  • work independently to drive program compliance for custodial department and motivate a diverse staff by managing through shift supervisors
