Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- housekeeping or custodial experience preferred
- basic computer skills including mouse and keyboard use
- ability to communicate in English
- ability to maintain equipment and work areas safely and clean
- ability to read and understand safety data sheets and product labels
- ability to follow oral and written assignments
- knowledge of basic environmental duties
- ability to interact with patients
- preferred environmental services experience in healthcare
- preferred knowledge of additional languages

Job Duties
- Clean assigned patient and public areas daily
- collect and remove trash and sanitize all surfaces
- stock paper items, cleaning solutions and other supplies as necessary
- demonstrate complete knowledge of infection control and isolation procedures
- operate cleaning equipment properly
- utilize Bed Management system for tracking and flow of bed use
- collect and stage soiled linen for pickup
- dispose of normal and biohazardous waste
- clean and disinfect areas with bodily fluids according to standards
- document all work performed
- access ancillary units, restrooms and offices in assigned areas
